Mr. V. N. Raina is the long-standing Director General (DG) of the All India Distillers' Association (AIDA),
the apex body for India's alcohol industry, representing distillers in policy matters, particularly
in the areas of ethanol blending, environmental norms, and industry growth.
With over four decades of experience in this sector, he actively participates in national and international
forums, industry consultations, policy discussions, and stakeholder meetings with government bodies such as
the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), helping to shape sustainable policy frameworks for the sector.
Under his leadership, AIDA has played a pivotal role in promoting sustainable fuel initiatives, strengthening
revenue generation opportunities, and guiding the industry through complex regulatory environments.
His deep understanding of industry operations, environmental regulations, and technology within the alcohol
and biofuel sectors continues to drive strategic progress for the Association and its members.
